Traditional Jewish Wedding at Talking Stick Golf Club

Many people do not realize that part of Jewish tradition is they cannot be married on the sabbath. Saturdays is the day that Jews celebrate the sabbath and that is also the day most weddings take place. Is this a conflict? Not if the wedding takes place after sundown on that Saturday.

The Jewish sabbath goes from sundown on Friday night until sundown on Saturday. If you plan with little bit of strategy, everything will work out. We like to photograph a lot of portraits and special images of the bride and groom with natural daylight. This is impossible if the wedding is after the sun goes down. There is a simple solution. We photograph all these images before the ceremony. We do this on many other types of weddings as well and for good reason.

We have found by photographing most of the portraits of the bride and groom, bridal party and parents before the ceremony, helps the wedding go more smoothly in a couple of ways.

1.) The bride and groom are far less nervous at the start of the wedding because they have spent time with each other before the ceremony.

2.) The photographers can take their time taking these images with out the heavy burden of time pressing on everyone to get into the reception.

3.) We do not have to take bridal party away right after the ceremony to photograph these photo’s and keep them separated from all the guests.

Wedding Photography Talking Stick Golf Club

Talking Stick Golf Club is a perfect place to have a wedding. Very picturesque especially at sunset. This small venue is easy to get to anywhere in the Phoenix valley. Located in Scottsdale just east of the 101 behind the Talking Stick Hotel and Casino.

This bride and groom we a lot of fun and we enjoyed photographing their wedding. I loved the shot where the bride picked up one of our camera’s and took a shot of the groom with it. You will find that shot in this group of images on this blog.

How funny and playful is that?
